The Miracles of Jesus - Lesson 28 –Midweek Prayer Meeting 5-12-2021

Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible

Because Jesus’ very person was the perfect integration of full humanity and full divinity, he carried around with him the growing rift between this world and that one. As he walked, his elbows traced both the air and the ether, stretching the limits of creation, the heavenly gravity pressing in at his movements. Jesus strained the capacity of this world with his very presence. The world’s breeches were too small, in other words, for the King of the Universe. And we should not be surprised that as the seams split, glory streamed through.” Jesus is God Himself come to earth to redeem mankind and establish the kingdom of God presently and for eternity. Everything that Jesus did and said while on this earth contributed to the overarching message of the Gospel and the mission of the kingdom. Jesus worked miracles to establish His divinity and to reveal His glory, but He also worked miracles to teach a lesson. His works tell of redemption, and they emphatically declare why He came and what God is doing in this world.

Scripture References: Genesis 2:22-24, John 2:1-11, 1 Corinthians 15:1-58, Acts 1:6-11, Mark 5:1-43, Revelation 19:6-9

From Series: "Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible"

"Author & End" will follow the Gospel throughout the entire Bible, and we will discover that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In lesson 1 of our series, we see that the "ends of the Gospel" have been the purpose of God from the very beginning.
