The Prayer Life of Jesus - Lesson 31 - Wed Prayer Service - 6-2-21

Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible

We are told to pray without ceasing. While this doesn't mean we are commanded to never stop consciously forming words of prayer, Jesus is an example for us and was continually in a prayer mode. He is shown to pray alone, in public, before meals, before important decisions, before healing, after healing, to do the Father's will, and in almost every circumstance of His ministry. He also taught on the importance of prayer (Mt 21:22, Mk 11:24-26, Mt 7:7-11, Lk 11:9-13, Jn 14:13-14, Jn 15:7, 16, Jn 16:23-24, Mt 5:44, Lk 6:27-28, Mt 6:5-15, Lk 11:2-4, Mt 18:19-20)

Scripture References: John 6:15, Matthew 6:1-34, Mark 6:46, Mark 14:32-42, Mark 14:23, Luke 22:39-46, Mark 1:35-36, Mark 26:36-46, Luke 3:21-22, John 11:41-42, Luke 11:1-4, Luke 9:18

From Series: "Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible"

"Author & End" will follow the Gospel throughout the entire Bible, and we will discover that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In lesson 1 of our series, we see that the "ends of the Gospel" have been the purpose of God from the very beginning.
