A Risen Savior Lesson 33 – The Exaltation of Christ

God is the giver of life. He breathed into man the breath of life. We are all living souls, and in those souls, there is a desire to continue living. We want eternal life, but because of sin, we do not naturally have it. We need a Savior. In our last lesson, we examined the death and sacrifice of Jesus. If Jesus’ work on our behalf ended on the cross, we would be hopeless people. A dead Savior cannot deliver sinners. Philippians 2 tells us that Jesus made himself of no reputation, came as a man, and was obedient even to death the point of death (which He did not deserve). Because of this, God has exalted Jesus and given Him a name above every name. We serve an exalted Savior. The gospel is not complete without the exaltation of Christ. The good news must include His descending and dying but is void without His rising, ascending, and returning to glory. So, let’s look at the aspects of Christ’s exaltation, the culmination of the Gospel. His Resurrection
