Elijah - Lesson 4 - Follow the Lord - 2 Kings 2. Wednesday Evening Service

Elijah\'s Last Day

We have been looking at Elijah's last day and learning to live for eternity. Last week, we saw the importance of looking back and remembering God's work and way in our lives. His faithfulness should strengthen our trust in Him. In Elijah's final day, he said "for the Lord sent me" three different times. The coming of eternity led him to urgently follow the instruction and leading of God. Scripture teaches us that we must always follow and obey the instruction and leading of God. - Elijah followed God when things were difficult, when things were hard to believe, and when things were controversial.

Scripture References: Colossians 3:15-17, Psalms 119:1-176, 1 Timothy 3:14-15, 2 Kings 19:3, Galatians 2:20, 1 Kings 19:1-21, Romans 12:1-2, 1 Kings 18:1-46, Romans 8:26-27, 1 Kings 17:1-24, Romans 8:14-16, 2 Kings 2:1-7, 2 Peter 1:19
