Full- The Church, the Fullness of Christ - Midweek Prayer Meeting 6-9-2021

Tonight, I want us to take a few moments to meditate on the amazing truth of the church, the fulness of Christ. Christ, in whom dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9); Christ, who fills all things (Eph. 1:23) is poured into and expressed through His body, the Church. Not a building or a location but a group of people from every age, nationality, ethnicity, background, and status; who were sinners, failures, short of the glory of God, workers of evil and iniquity, incapable of good- their righteous deeds corrupted by the defects of a fallen nature, rebels- enemies of God; but God redeemed us for His glory, resurrected us from our sins, made us righteous through the sacrifice of His Son, and commissions us as ambassadors of His Kingdom. “The church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

Scripture References: 2 Peter 1:3, Ephesians 4:13, Colossians 2:1-23, Ephesians 2:1-22, Colossians 1:1-29, Colossians 3:1, Ephesians 1:1-23, John 13:34-35
