A New Covenant - God Renews All In Christ - Lesson 23

Throughout our study of "Author and End: The Gospel Storyline Through the Entire Bible", we have seen overwhelming evidence that God's plan and purpose do not change. From the very beginning to the very end, God will accomplish His work. God knows exactly how He will carry out His plan in the world, but fortunately, He also revealed aspects of this plan to mankind. In fact, He has bound Himself to this plan with mankind by making covenants with them. We have examined each of these Old Testament Covenants along the way, but all of them find their completion in what we call the New Covenant. The promise of the New Covenant was originally given to Israel through Jeremiah, but we find that it was fulfilled and enacted through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. We could study the New Covenant for weeks; however, it may be most helpful to think of its summary and focus on its comparison with God's other covenants as well.

Scripture References: Jeremiah 31:31-34, Matthew 5:17-18, Luke 22:19-20, Ezekiel 36:25-32

From Series: "Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible"

"Author & End" will follow the Gospel throughout the entire Bible, and we will discover that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In lesson 1 of our series, we see that the "ends of the Gospel" have been the purpose of God from the very beginning.
