Lesson 38 – What is the Gospel according to the Bible? - Midweek Prayer Meeting - 8-18-2021

As we begin to close our study of the Gospel storyline through the Bible, now would probably be a good time to examine just what is the Gospel actually. What is the Gospel according to the example of the Bible and specifically the New Testament? We will not attempt to get into a deep theological study of each doctrine tonight, but our approach will be more practical in nature. We will simply look at examples of conversions given in the Bible after the resurrection of Christ. Fortunately, the Bible tells us how to be saved, and it shows us accounts of salvations.

Scripture References: Revelation 2:22, John 3:36, Acts 26:10-20, Revelation 16:11, Romans 4:5, Acts 15:19, Mark 8:34-35, Revelation 2:21, Mark 1:15, Acts 13:16-41, Revelation 16:9, 1 John 5:13, Acts 14:5, Luke 6:46, Revelation 2:16, Acts 3:11-26, Revelation 9:21, John 10:27-28, Acts 11:21, Galatians 2:20, 1 Samuel 15:22, Revelation 2:5, Acts 2:14-41, Revelation 9:20, John 9:36-38, Acts 9:40, Colossians 1:27-28, Luke 3:8-9, Acts 28:27, John 20:31, Revelation 3:19, Acts 16:28-31, Acts 9:35, Ephesians 3:17, 2 Corinthians 7:10, Acts 26:20, Matthew 3:8-15, Revelation 3:3, Luke 5:32, Acts 3:19, Romans 8:9-11, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 26:18, 2 Corinthians 5:17

From Series: "Author and End: The Gospel Throughout the Bible"

"Author & End" will follow the Gospel throughout the entire Bible, and we will discover that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In lesson 1 of our series, we see that the "ends of the Gospel" have been the purpose of God from the very beginning.
