Warning 6: Faults, Failures, and the Flesh - Wednesday Evening Service

– The human mind can be a fragile thing. The human soul can be fractured and divided. Until our eternal perfection, there will always be a battle within the two parts of Christians. Romans 7:19-25 presents this battle and calls the sinful part of it the flesh. – The unfortunate truth is that there are moments when the flesh wins out. By our own choice, we can still sin against God. Sometimes, we even structure our lives, habits, and routines in a way that creates an environment for the flesh to win consistently. – What happens when we fail? How should we respond when we sin? How do we handle our lives when we feel our sinful nature? We can choose to be defeated and discouraged, or we can walk in wisdom with discernment. Proverbs acknowledges and confronts the struggle we face. Do not lose hope! Let’s note the tools God has given to develop discernment.
