Lesson 12 - At That Time - Daniel 12 - Midweek Prayer Meeting
As we have studied Daniel these last three months, the theme of "kings and kingdoms" has been continually pressed into our minds by the book. There are a lot of details given in the narrative, the visions, and the prophecies, but the common thread that we find in all earthly kingdoms is ... they pass away. We have continually examined the prophecy and fulfillment of a seemingly endless "parade of nations" with each one collapsing under the next. Daniel prophecies that one day this cycle will come to an end. This is good news for all of mankind! However, the culmination of God's plan offers a different and better kind of hope! This is the primary purpose of the book of Daniel. Though we may not see it immediately on the surface, this book is rooted in hope.
