Lesson 5 – Don’t Forget – Proverbs 3:1-12 - Midweek Prayer Meeting
Proverbs 3 is written as an endearing admonition from a father to a son. Particularly, from Solomon to his son, but in a broader sense it is God’s Word to His children. The first two verses tell us not to forget the teaching and commands that have been given. There is a unique assurance given with this. It says “length of days, long life, and peace” accompany these principles. This entire portion of his teaching is rooted in verses 5-6. There is a trust and submission that God desires us to surrender to Him. It encompasses all of life. Here, he communicates a few of the areas that we are to trust and submit to God. We our lives “with confidence”, but that confidence must be in the Lord.
