Lesson 6 - Praying for Gods Power, Eph. 1:16-21; 3:14-21 - Midweek Prayer Meeting

Most of us don’t typically feel “powerful.” Though we may feel that we have power over certain situations, it doesn’t take much to make us feel weak or helpless. We are often overwhelmed by things like finances, health, relational concerns, and any number of things in life that are out of our control. However, we often struggle to realize just how powerless we really are. In Ephesians 1, we find that Paul prays that Christians would know and understand God’s power that is given to those who believe. He prays that we would understand God’s power, “according to the working of His mighty power.” In the verses that follow, Paul points us to the display of God’s power through three facets of Jesus Christ’s work.
