Lesson 39 - The Everlasting Gospel - Midweek Prayer Service

We have studied the storyline of the Gospel through the Bible for almost a year. We have seen how God planned and worked. From the very beginning, this was God's plan. The plan is that God created man to dwell in loving relationship with Him forever. Our sin has broken our ability to live out our part of the plan, but the Gospel offers hope and a solution. One of the most glorious facts about the Gospel is that it is everlasting. We cannot possibly begin to grasp time in the way that God does. To us, everything at least has a beginning, so it is difficult to imagine that there is no end; however, the Bible teaches that our souls and their destinations of either heaven or hell are just that, endless. Let's note the weight of the Gospel as it relates to the eternity of man and our relationship with God. We must live our lives with the urgency of the fact that the decision of every person about the Gospel lasts forever.

Scripture References: Revelation 14:6-7, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, Revelation 14:11, Revelation 16:8-11, Revelation 22:5, Revelation 22:10-13, Revelation 20:10, Mark 3:29, Revelation 21:1-8, Matthew 25:46, Matthew 12:32, Revelation 19:1-6, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 13:50, Romans 9:1-3, Revelation 14:6-13, Luke 16:24

"Author & End" will follow the Gospel throughout the entire Bible, and we will discover that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. In lesson 1 of our series, we see that the "ends of the Gospel" have been the purpose of God from the very beginning.
