Esther - Lesson 4 - Mourning, Trusting, and Living by Faith - Wed. Night Prayer Meeting 1-25-2023
What happens in chapter 4 of Esther is critical to everything that follows in the book. The rest of the events of the account flow through the decision that Esther will make here. Chapter 4 is interesting because it is a dramatic conversation between two people that never meet in person. They are deeply connected, but probably have not been able to be near each other since the day Esther was taken into the king’s harem (about 4 years). Chapter 3 leaves us with Haman and the king sharing a drink over the sweeping law that was intended to annihilate the Jewish population from the empire.
